Can I start making money right away?

Yes! As soon as you successfully complete the course, you’ll begin your work with practice clients. You may choose to charge for these services and you are permitted to do so as a benefit of your provisional membership as a Consultant-in-Training!

Will Marie be attending the course?

Yes! Marie will be providing a special address and Q&A session live during this course. You will also have a chance to get your photo taken with her in the form of a group screenshot.

What can I do with this certification?

This course is a required step in becoming officially certified as a KonMari Consultant for in-home or virtual tidying using the KonMari Method®.

What happens after I attend the course? Am I certified immediately?

After you attend a course – virtual or in-person – you will continue on to the next steps of the certification process. You will be required to work with two clients and submit practice tidying reports for evaluation. Upon passing the evaluation, you will then be invited to take an online exam testing knowledge of the KonMari philosophy and tidying approach.

After you successfully pass the exam, there will be a brief onboarding interview with a KonMari team member. Once you complete the interview, you will receive a contract, trademark guidelines and an invoice for your membership fee (currently $500 USD) to be certified as a KonMari Consultant.

After attending the course, you are strongly advised to move forward with the next steps of the certification process within six (6) months. This means confirming at least one practice client and conducting at least one session.

You will be able to conduct business using the KonMari Method without certification for one year after you complete the course. After that, if you are still not certified, you will need to purchase the Workshop Bundle/Refresher Course to continue conducting business as a Consultant-in-Training. Please take this timeline into consideration when registering for a course.

Will I be able to conduct virtual sessions with my clients?

Yes, you will be able to conduct virtual or in-person sessions with your practice clients and your clients after you become certified.

What are the technical requirements to attend this virtual course?

Our virtual courses are offered via Zoom. For more information on how to join a Zoom virtual course – including technical requirements for joining – please see here. We will send additional information and a link to join prior to the course date.

You will be interacting with other participants, so please plan to join from a device that will allow you to speak and listen. If at all possible, please plan to join using video via your webcam!

Can I attend just part of the course?

You must attend the entire course, on all three days, to receive your certificate of attendance and to advance your certification process. We will be tracking attendance – please arrange your schedule accordingly.

What happens if I have technical difficulties during the course and cannot attend?

If you cannot attend the course due to unforeseen technical difficulties on the day of the event, please email us at kcevent@konmari.com at that time.

Can I view this as a recording, or will I receive recordings after the event finishes?

As we emphasize the importance of interaction in this virtual event, you must attend the entire course, on all three days, to receive your certificate of attendance and to advance your certification process.

After the event finishes, you will be sent a link to view the recording for your personal review. The link will remain active for 30 days after we send it.

What photos do I need to submit once I have tidied my home? How do I submit them?

Once you have registered for the course, you will receive additional instructions for submitting your verification requirements. A KonMari team member will be in touch with you regarding the submission deadline for your verification requirements. The requirements must be submitted prior to the course start date (unless you have made alternate arrangements with a KonMari team member).

How long does the verification process take after I submit the photos?

You will be contacted by a KonMari team member within five business days after you submit your verification photos.

What happens if I can't complete the admission requirements by the deadline?

If you anticipate challenges completing the requirements by the deadline, please reach out to us by email as soon as possible. Completing these items prior to your attendance of the course is a crucial step in your journey to become a certified KonMari Consultant. If you do not reach out to us and do not complete the requirements, your registration may be canceled and your fee refunded according to our cancellation and refund policy.

Do you offer any payment plans?

We are excited to offer partial payments as a payment option at checkout! Pay as low as $500 USD up front to reserve your spot in the course, then pay the remaining balance by the date of registration closing.

To pay in full, complete the following steps:

Click “Register Now” and complete your registration up to the payment page.
Select your preferred payment method (credit card or PayPal).
Select “Full Payment.”
Enter your payment information and click “Submit.”
Congratulations! You have reserved your spot in the course.

To pay in installments, follow these steps:

Click “Register Now” and complete your registration up to the payment page.
Select your preferred payment method (credit card or PayPal).
Select “Partial Payment.”
Enter the amount you would like to pay right away (minimum amount due is $500 USD).
Enter your payment information and click “Submit.”
To pay the remaining balance for your admission:
- Click “Already registered?” underneath the “Register Now” button.
- Enter your email and confirmation number.
- Click “Submit Payment” on your confirmation page.
- Remit the full remaining payment amount or pay an additional installment using the same steps as above.

You may receive a reminder email one week prior to your final payment due date. However, it is ultimately up to you to log in and remit your payment in full. Failure to pay in full by the registration deadline will be considered a cancellation. Any installment payments made prior to cancellation are subject to the following cancellation and refund policy, considered effective from the first date of payment.

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

Cancellations within seven days of purchase will receive a full refund, except in the following cases:

Cancellations more than four weeks prior the first day of the course will incur a 20% return processing fee.
Cancellations one to four weeks prior to the first day of the course will incur a 50% return processing fee.
Cancellations made one week or less prior to the first day of the course cannot be refunded.

Transfer Policy

Depending on availability of seats in another course with open registration, we will consider your transfer request.

Transfer requests made one week or less prior to the first day of the course cannot be transferred.
Exceptions may apply. In the case an exception is made, a transfer processing fee may be applied.
If you cancel after you are transferred, the cancellation policy will be applied based on the date of your original course and registration.
